Here are some questions we prepared earlier.
We offer a variety of services from Logo Design, Branding, Business Cards, Stationary, Marketing Material, Web Design, Social Media Branding, Print Design, Digital Design and and Packaging Design.
To start a project, we require a 50% up front deposit. The remaining 50% is paid prior to the release of your final files, live date or sign off.
First we will have a chat about what you are looking for and we will put together a quote for you. On acceptance of the quote you will be sent an invoice for a 50% up front deposit. This deposit will secure your booking.
We will then ask you to complete a brief so that we can get a better understanding of what you want to achieve from your project. After we have received this, we do some in-depth research and look at your competitors, target audience and any inspiration you have sent through. We then design a concept/s based on the research and the brief we have created. These are then presented to you for your feedback. We will then work through up to three rounds of feedback. Once you are happy with the project and we have finalised the design we will send the final invoice. Once final invoice payment has been received you will receive all relevant files!
After the deposit has been paid and your booking has been confirmed, we will ask you to send us your brief. After we have received your brief, we begin the design process. Initial concepts are usually delivered within one week. Working through feedback and revision rounds and sign off usually takes around one week. The logo design process is usually complete within a fortnight.

The short answer is you get what you pay for. Professional graphic designers are trained not only in using the appropriate software and making sure what you are getting has been designed and not “borrowed” from a clipart site, but also in what it takes to create and establish a brand. A trained graphic designer understands design identity and will do research in your field to create you something relevant, unique and considered for your business. Just because I own a hammer doesn’t mean I should be a builder. I wouldn’t want to live in that house.
Absolutely! More than half of our clients are from outside Sydney. Most of our work is done via email.
Generally we don’t realise design files to clients, your payment is for the design of your project and for the final product. The final product includes all the files you will require for printing. The ownership of the working files always remains with the creator (Amy Kate). Therefore if clients want to, they can purchase the working files from Amy Kate for a cost.
Absolutely! We have some great relationships with trade printers. These printers offer great discounts and are perfect for any larger orders of things like business cards, flyers, brochures and stationery.
Vector files are files created in specific software programs that work with vector artwork (as opposed to pixel based artwork which is called a Raster file). A vector file is usually created in Illustrator and is an image that can be resized, scaled, have colours and fonts changes without losing quality or resolution. Vector files are mostly used by professional designers and print shops as the highest quality is needed for your logo and other graphics.
